La prévention commence bien avant le lancement d'un projet international.

Prävention beginnt lange vor dem Start eines internationalen Projekts.

Prevention begins long before an international project begins.

The recent announcement of a joint venture between Airbus and MTU Aero Engines to develop hydrogen fuel-cell propulsion represents another important step in European industrial cooperation. For most organisations, this is an engineering and innovation story.

From an MC³ perspective, it is something different.

International partnerships rarely create multilingual communication risks. Instead, they expose communication vulnerabilities that already exist within organisations. When multinational partners work together, leadership teams bring different communication behaviours, cultural expectations and decision-making approaches. Everyone may support the same strategic objective, yet interpret priorities, responsibilities and success differently. These differences are rarely visible during contract negotiations.

They become visible during implementation.

An MC³ diagnostic would examine:

  • Whether leadership teams interpret strategic objectives consistently.

  • Whether communication behaviours support aligned international decision-making.

  • Whether cultural assumptions influence operational priorities.

  • Whether multilingual communication reduces business risk—or unintentionally creates it.

The objective is not to assess whether communication takes place. The objective is to determine whether multilingual communication supports consistent international decision-making and protects the partnership from unnecessary organisational risk.

Following diagnosis, MC³ strengthens multilingual communication controls before communication differences develop into operational problems. Prevention is always less costly than resolving communication failures after implementation has begun.

For organisations involved in international partnerships, this is why MC³ matters. A joint venture may unite technical expertise, investment and strategic ambition, but its long-term success also depends on whether communication remains aligned across different languages, cultures and organisational environments. An MC³ diagnostic helps organisations identify multilingual communication risks before they become operational risks, examining whether communication controls support consistent interpretation, decision-making and collaboration across all partners. By strengthening these communication controls early, organisations reduce the likelihood of misunderstandings, inconsistent implementation and costly divergence as the partnership develops.
